# Using OVRO without the website

Every player action is a public contract function. Use the explorer if the site is ever unavailable.

[ovro.fun](https://ovro.fun) is a convenience. The rules, the money and the draws live in the contracts, so you can do everything directly from the block explorer.

## Connect on the explorer

1. Open the raffle contract from the [Contracts](/ovro-docs/security/contracts.md) page on Blockscout.
2. Go to **Contract → Read/Write contract**.
3. Press **Connect wallet** and select Robinhood Chain.

## Player actions

| Action                    | Function                                | Notes                                                                                               |
| ------------------------- | --------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Buy tickets               | `buyTickets(count)`                     | Send exactly `count × ticketPrice` as the transaction value. `0.001 ETH` is `1000000000000000` wei. |
| Close an expired round | `closeRound()` | Only after the round timer has ended. Starts the draw or cancels the round. |
| Retry randomness | `requestDraw(roundId)` | Only if randomness was not delivered within the timeout (currently 1 hour). |
| Cancel a stuck draw | `cancelExpiredDraw(roundId)` | Only 7 days after the round closed without a draw. Everyone is refunded. |
| Claim a refund            | `claimRefund(roundId)`                  | For cancelled rounds.                                                                               |
| Withdraw a credited prize | `withdraw()` | For prizes that could not be sent automatically. |
| Forward fees | `distributeTreasury()`, `fundBuyback()` | Anyone can call them; they only move ETH to the configured treasury and buyback executor. |

To publish a drand beacon for a pending draw, call `fulfillRandomness(requestId, [x, y])` on the **randomness provider**. The values come from the drand API, see [Verify a draw](/ovro-docs/protocol/verify-a-draw.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://ovro.gitbook.io/ovro-docs/protocol/without-the-website.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
